Cutting the pies and cakes at the barbeque dinner, Pie Town, New Mexico Fair, October 1940. Located on the Continental Divide, pie Town is called "America's Friendliest Little Town," and lays claim to some of the most delcious and diverse pies to be found in the United States, served at two little pie restaurants who alternate their days of operation. The annual Pie Town Pie Festival takes place in mid-September.
