June 30, 2010: State of New Mexico to Fund Centennial of Statehood Grants
A dozen or more projects celebrating New Mexico’s Centennial of Statehood will receive grants from a state planning group. The New Mexico Centennial of Statehood Steering Committee will accept applications from nonprofit organizations, state agencies, counties, municipalities, libraries, museums, and schools beginning August 15, 2010.

April 21, 2010: Centennial Poet, Storyteller, and Authors
The New Mexico State Library and Centennial planners are accepting nominations for four honorary positions associated with the commemoration of New Mexico’s hundred years of statehood – Poet, Storyteller, Author and Children’s Author.

April 14, 2010: Centennial ReLeaf Project
The New Mexico Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department announces a Centennial focus for the annual NM Forest Re-Leaf Program.

January 29, 2010: Centennial License Plate
Governor Bill Richardson, joined by other state officials, today issued the first Centennial turquoise license plates that are now available at all Motor Vehicle Division offices across the state.

January 6, 2010: We Serve/New Mexico
On Statehood Day (January 6, 2010), Governor Bill Richardson announced a new statewide initiative called We Serve/New Mexico that will work with communities across the state to prepare for New Mexico’s 100th anniversary.
