Taos Pueblo, a World Heritage Site, is about 1000 years old and has been inhabited continually for over 500 years. Currently home to about 150 full-time residents, Taos welcomes visitors for a small admission fee except during closed tribal rituals and during the late winter/early spring period. The people of Taos Pueblo are of a Tiwa-speaking tribe.
