UFO Museum, Roswell, NM. On or around July 7, 1947 "Mac" Brazel came across some mysterious debris in a field near Roswell, NM. The U.S. military claims that the wreckage was from a high-altitude surveillance balloon but UFO aficionados, now and then, believe this to be a cover-up. They maintain that what came to earth was an alien aircraft carrying alien explorers. The name "Roswell," is synonymous with UFOs for many, but Roswell New Mexico is also a thriving dairy, ranching, farming, arts, and manufacturing town, and the seat of Chaves County.
